Finding the Castle

Location
Spøttrup Castle stands in the beautiful Salling, onto Spøttrup Lake and with the Liim Fiord in the background. In clear weather, you can see the islands of Jegindø and Mors from the Castle’s impressive ramparts.

Routes to the Castle
If you arrive from Skive, take highway 573 towards Hem and Balling and continue straight ahead until you can see the Castle. Signs mark the way to Spøttrup Castle all the way from Skive.

If you arrive from Holstebro or Struer, drive to Vinderup and continue on highway 591 towards Balling. In Balling, turn left towards Spøttrup Castle. Signs mark the way to Spøttrup Castle from Balling.

If you arrive from Mors on the A26 towards Skive, turn off at highway 591 towards Odense and Balling. In Balling, turn right towards Spøttrup Castle. Signs mark the way to Spøttrup Castle from Balling.
